新型冠狀病毒變異株分類學研究進展

摘要:冠狀病毒是有包膜的單正鏈RNA病毒,分為4個屬45個種。新冠肺炎病毒和非典病毒都屬于冠狀病毒冠狀病毒β屬SARS種。新冠肺炎病毒自2019年底爆發流行以來,積累了一定數量的突變毒株,這些突變株彼此之間高度相似。為了更好地描述新冠肺炎流行趨勢,世衛組織等多個學術組織分別設計了不同的分類標準,給新冠病毒的變異株進行劃分和命名。世衛組織根據病毒流行水平用希臘字母命名了8種比較重要的新冠病毒變異株,分為VOCs和VOIs兩個層次。Pango組織根據基因組進化樹建立了一種較為系統的變異株多層次分類方法,并開發網頁工具方便廣大研究人員測算新分離毒株的分類地位。新冠病毒主要變異株的定義位點集中在刺突蛋白和復制酶,提示病毒進化過程中在免疫逃逸和復制能力強化兩個方向上面臨選擇壓力。

Research Progress in Taxonomy of SARS-Cov-2 Variant Strains
Abstract:Coronavirus is a group of enveloped single positive-stranded RNA viruses, divided into 4 genera and 45 species. Both the SARS-Cov-2 and the SARS-Cov virus belong to the SARS species of the beta coronavirus genus. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 at the end of 2019, a certain number of mutant strains have been discovered, and these mutant strains are highly similar to each other. In order to achieve a better description of the epidemic trend of COVID-19, a few academic organizations such as the WHO have designed different classification schemes to classify and name the SARS-Cov-2 variant strains. According to the level of viral prevalence, the WHO named 8 important SARS-Cov-2 variants with Greek letters, which are divided into two levels: VOCs and VOIs. The Pango organization established a systematic multi-level classification method for mutant strains based on the genomic evolutionary tree, and developed web tools to facilitate researchers to calculate the taxonomic status of newly isolated strains.
